How Suralink Uses AI to Stop Wasted Time in Accounting

In this article, you’ll discover:

  • How AI fixes the wasted time caused by messy client files.
  • What the new Testing Suite does to check data instantly.
  • How one firm saved 4,600 hours in a single year using Suralink.
  • Why keeping records safe forever builds better trust with clients.

Have you ever noticed how much time gets lost at work? For accounting firms, the biggest time waster is dealing with messy client files. When clients send over the wrong documents or missing details, accountants have to do the work all over again. This is known as the rework cycle. Now, Suralink is fixing this issue with new smart AI.

Evan Fitzpatrick, the CEO of Suralink, explains the problem perfectly. “Engagement teams have spent too much time acting as request managers instead of focusing on analysis, judgment, and client advisory work,” he says.

A Better Way to Work

Suralink just released a huge update to its platform. They added a new Agent Library and connected it with popular tools like Microsoft Copilot and Claude. These updates help accountants get things done much faster.

Instead of waiting for people to check every single document, Suralink uses automated helpers. Fitzpatrick adds, “With our ability to prescreen client data at the time of upload, then automatically conduct testing procedures and deliver ready-to-review results, we empower firms to eliminate the Rework Cycle and fully close the Client Readiness Gap.”

Meet the Testing Suite

The coolest part of this update is the Cloud Testing Suite. It uses two special AI tools to do the heavy lifting automatically.

First, there is the Document Prescreen Agent. As soon as a client uploads a file, this tool checks it. If something is missing or wrong, it will catch mistakes right away. This means way less wasted time for everyone involved.

Second, the Data Vouching Agent takes over. It looks at the data, tests it, and finds any issues. It even prepares the final paperwork so the team can just review the finished product.

Saving Real Hours for Big Firms

Does all this new tech actually work? The answer is a big yes. Suralink helps over half of the top 100 accounting firms today.

One major firm, Eide Bailly, started using these connected tools. They saved over 4,600 work hours in a single year. That is a massive amount of free time they can now spend helping their clients grow. Plus, companies using Suralink are growing 84 percent faster than their competitors.

Keeping Records Safe

Along with these great tools, Suralink also added a new Client Data Vault. In the past, many businesses lost access to their old audit files. Now, clients get a permanent home for all their audit history. This builds deep trust and keeps everyone on the same page for future projects.

By letting AI handle the messy data, firms can stop acting like file managers. Instead, they can focus on giving great advice and growing their business.
