Replify Uses AI to Help Gyms Get More Members

In this article, you’ll discover:

  • How a new AI tool helps gyms grow without hiring more staff.
  • Why slow responses are causing gyms to lose potential members.
  • The real results one gym chain saw after automating their calls.
  • How automating sales can lower costs and boost profit.

Running a gym is hard work. You have to keep the lights on, pay your staff, and make sure your members are happy. On top of that, you need to find new people to join. That is where a Seattle company called Replify steps in. They just launched a new tool to help fitness centers grow without hiring more staff.

The Problem with Payroll

For many gym owners, the math is tough. A recent report shows that paying staff takes up nearly 40% of all the money a gym makes. While more people are joining gyms than before, it is getting harder to make a profit.

Tony Small, the CEO of Replify, explains that gym owners are seeing growth, but costs are eating it up. Also, people like to try different things now. Someone might go to a big gym but also play pickleball or do Pilates somewhere else. This makes it harder for one gym to keep a member’s full attention.

Missing Out on Leads

When someone is interested in joining a gym, they usually fill out a form or call. But if the gym staff is busy helping someone on the floor, that phone call might go unanswered.

Small says that gyms lose about 40% to 60% of potential members just because they are too slow to reply. Most gyms get plenty of inquiries, but they only get a small number of those people to actually join. The problem isn’t the gym itself. It is the speed of the reply.

How the AI Helps

Replify’s new “AI Growth Engine” fixes this. It acts like a super-fast sales team that never sleeps. When a new person shows interest, the AI immediately sends a text, an email, or even makes a call.

It does the heavy lifting so the real staff doesn’t have to spend hours on the phone. This system connects right to the software the gym already uses. It makes sure no opportunity slips through the cracks.

Real Results

This isn’t just a theory. A group called Club 24 Concept Gyms is already using it. They have seven locations and use the system to make over 3,000 calls a month.

Val Nepomuceno, who runs operations for Club 24, said the choice was easy. Before this, they spent thousands on staff hours just to make follow-up calls. Now, the AI handles the first steps. Their sales team only talks to people who are ready to buy. Since using it, they have cut their costs by 35% and talked to more people.

Big names like Gold’s Gym and UFC Gym are starting to use this tech too.

Keeping the Human Touch

Some people worry that robots will replace humans, but Replify sees it differently. They believe technology handles the boring stuff so people can handle the relationships.

“Fitness businesses provide an incredible service,” Small said. But the work never stops. By letting AI handle the sales calls and emails, trainers and staff can focus on helping members get fit and stay healthy.

Replify was started in 2023 by a team with experience at big companies like Zillow and Match Group. Their goal is simple. They want to lower the barrier for gym owners to use AI. Right now, they offer plans with no setup fees to help gyms get started easily.
