Meet the Fastest Radar That Spots Drone Swarms Instantly
Drones are becoming a bigger part of our world. But what happens when a group of drones, known as a drone swarm, becomes a threat? Spotter Global just announced a new tool to help. It is called the GAX500-3D. This system uses new 3D technology to spot and track drones faster than ever before.
The CEO of Spotter Global, Logan Harris, explained why this new tech is so vital. He said, “Traditional radars act like a flashlight in a dark forest. If you aren’t pointing it at the threat the moment it moves, you miss it. In a drone swarm scenario, you can’t afford to blink.” He noted that the new radar gives security teams total, uninterrupted stare capability over their most important spaces.
A Better Way to Scan
Older radars scan the sky like a narrow beam of light. They take time to look around. The GAX500-3D works more like a bright floodlight. It watches the whole space at once. In fact, it checks the sky 18 times every second. That makes it 32 times faster than older options.
Tracking Multiple Targets
When dealing with a swarm, you need to watch many things at once. This new radar can track up to 50 targets at the same time. It gathers fresh location data every 56 milliseconds. This means it never drops coverage, keeping a close eye on everything in the air.
Smart and Quiet
The system is powerful but uses very little energy. It can spot a three kilogram drone from 500 meters away. It also pairs with smart software called NetworkedIO. This setup uses both radar and video to filter out fake alarms and create custom threat zones.
Keeping Places Safe

Stopping a drone attack is serious business. With this new release, private companies and the military have a better way to protect their spaces. Spotter Global makes these compact radars right in the USA, giving security teams the tools they need to stay a step ahead.
