Basically, they want buildings to look amazing and be useful at the same time. Brandon Larcom from Gensler agreed. He said that teaming up allows them to “push the boundaries of innovation” by putting solar tech directly into the facades. It creates solutions that are beautiful and help the planet.

Looks Like Wood, Works Like Solar

Here is the part that blows my mind. Usually, when we think of solar power, we picture those big, dark blue rectangles on a roof. They don’t always match the style of a fancy new hotel or office tower.

The eFacade PRO+ changes that. It allows for total freedom in design. Builders can choose almost any color or pattern. They can even make these solar panels look like wood grain, satin, or glossy finishes.

I think this is a game changer. You could walk past a building that looks like it is made of natural wood, but it is actually a high-tech solar power plant. It can handle curves, corners, and big shapes. It lets architects be creative without worrying about ugly equipment.

Why the Honeycomb Matters

The name “Honeycomb Backing” comes from nature. Think about a beehive. The honeycomb shape is famous for being incredibly light but super strong.
