How Microblink Passed a Major US Security Test

In this article, you’ll discover

  • How Microblink passed a tough government test for catching fake IDs.
  • Why catching fraud should not mean blocking real customers.
  • The amazing test scores that prove this tool works in real life.

Have you ever tried to open a new bank account on your phone and had to take a picture of your ID? It can be annoying when the app rejects a perfectly good photo. Worse, bad guys are getting better at using fake IDs to trick these systems. Finding a tool that stops the bad guys while letting real people through is super important. Recently, the US government put top security tools to the test, and one company stood out from the rest.

“These results mark a turning point for the industry,” said Hartley Thompson, the CEO of Microblink. “Accuracy claims are no longer enough. Enterprises need verification systems that make consistent, high-quality decisions under real-world conditions.” Thompson explained that this federal test proves companies can have high-quality security without making sacrifices.

The Big Test

The test was run by the Department of Homeland Security. It is called the Remote Identity Validation Rally, or RIVR. The government took seven top identity tools and put them in a lab. They tested them using real government IDs and some very sneaky fakes. They also used normal smartphones to make sure the test felt like everyday life.

Why It Matters

A lot of companies promise their tools are perfect. But this test showed that real-world results are very different from big promises. A good system has to do three things well. First, it must catch fraud. Second, it has to approve real users quickly. Third, it cannot crash or have weird errors. Most tools are good at one thing but bad at another. They might block fakes but also block real customers. That costs businesses a lot of money and frustrates everyone.

The Winning Scores

Out of all the groups tested, only Microblink hit the highest marks in every single area. The government wanted tools to keep their mistake rates under ten percent. Microblink totally crushed it. They had zero percent system errors, which means no crashes. They only rejected good IDs about three percent of the time. Even better, they caught almost every single fake ID, letting less than one percent slip through.

Built for Real Life

The best part about Microblink is that it works in the real world. They built their tool to handle bad lighting, weird angles, and dirty camera lenses. It does not just work in a perfect lab. With fake IDs getting smarter, having a tough and tested tool is a big deal. The test proved that a secure system can also be easy for normal folks to use.

It is always nice to see a product live up to its hype. By passing this tough test, Microblink proved it is a smart choice for keeping our digital lives safe.
