Turning ten is a big milestone for anyone. For a business, it is a huge reason to smile. The trading company Oilmar DMCC is celebrating its tenth birthday this year. But instead of just throwing a big party, they are doing something special. They are choosing to focus on giving back to the world.

Yusif Mammadov, the owner of Oilmar, shared some honest thoughts about their journey. He said, “In moments of calm, any company can appear strong. True strength is revealed in times of adversity, through decisions made both under scrutiny and away from it.”

He also noted, “Over the past decade, we have grown through periods of volatility and transformation, but our greatest achievement is not scale, it is our character. As we mark ten years, we choose to honor our journey not through celebration alone, but through meaningful contribution.”

He clearly cares about their global impact. He added, “Logistics and energy connect the world, but they also have a direct impact on people’s lives. As we look to the next decade, we want success to be defined not only by commercial performance, but by our responsibility to people, communities and the oceans that underpin global trade.”

Growing Over Ten Years

Oilmar started back in 2015. Since then, it has grown into a massive trading house. They trade fuel and cargo all over the world. Today, they have more than eighty professionals working for them. They also run six trading hubs across three different continents. That is a lot of hard work paying off.

The Giving Project

To mark their big anniversary, Oilmar launched a brand new charity plan. It is called “10 Years. 10 Charities. One Responsibility.” The idea is simple and very kind. For every year they have been in business, they are picking a noble cause to support. It feels great to see a successful company putting its money to work for good causes.

Helping Many Groups

They are teaming up with groups that handle ocean protection, hunger relief, and medical research. Some of the well known groups include the Emirates Red Crescent, World Central Kitchen, and Cancer Research UK. They are also helping the Environmental Defence Fund and the International Committee of the Red Cross. By picking these different groups, they are making sure their help reaches people who really need it.

Looking Ahead

In recent years, Oilmar has focused heavily on using data and managing risks. They want to keep growing in a smart and safe way. As they step into their next ten years, they are proving that a business can make money and still have a good heart.
