Take 5 Hits 500 Shops and Keeps Growing

In this article, you’ll discover:

  • How Take 5 reached 500 shops and why they are growing.
  • Details on their new Philadelphia location and Northeast expansion.
  • Why customers love the fast and simple service model.
  • How the company used an event to feed people in need.
  • Why the brand is a top choice for franchise owners.

Let’s be honest, getting an oil change is usually a chore. You have to drive there, hand over your keys, and sit in a waiting room that smells like old tires while drinking stale coffee. But Take 5 has changed the game, and clearly, drivers are loving it.

The company just celebrated a massive win. They have officially passed 500 franchise shops earlier this year. To mark the occasion, they threw a big celebration in Philadelphia on December 9. It’s huge news because it proves that people really just want car care to be fast and easy.

A Big Day in Philly

The event wasn’t just about the number 500. It was also a welcome party for Philadelphia, as Take 5 opened its very first location in the city.

If you live in the Northeast, you have probably noticed more of these shops popping up. In just two years, they have doubled their number of stores in that region. It makes sense why they are so popular. The idea of staying in your car while someone changes your oil in ten minutes sounds like a dream for anyone with a busy schedule or a car full of kids.

Why It Works

Tim Austin, the President of Take 5, says this milestone happened because customers trust the brand. He mentioned that their model fits what drivers need today. We all want to get back on the road quickly.

It is not just about speed, though. It is about feeling comfortable. You don’t have to leave your seat. You can check your emails, scroll through social media, or just relax while the team works. That is the kind of convenience that makes people come back.

Helping the Community

One of the coolest parts of the Philadelphia event was the charity work. Take 5 hosted an “Oil for Oil” drive. They asked locals to bring in sealed bottles of cooking oil to donate to a local food bank called Philabundance.

If you brought in oil, you got half off your oil change. Plus, the company donated $5,000 to help fight hunger in the area. It is always nice to see a big company looking out for the neighbors.

Growing Fast

Take 5 is on a roll right now. They were even named one of the fastest-growing franchises by Entrepreneur magazine. In the last three years, they have grown their franchise footprint by more than 110%.

Eric Wollenhaupt, a Senior VP at the company, says this growth is fueled by the owners and teams who give great service every day. It seems like their “people-first” attitude is really paying off.
