  • How to start taking the free classes right away.

TV advertising is getting smarter. Today, nearly half of all viewers watch through smart channels. But, advertisers only spend a small amount of money there. Why is this happening? It is mostly because the technology can be confusing. To fix this, a group called Go Addressable has teamed up with media expert Evan Shapīro. Together, they are launching a helpful new course for agencies and brands.

“The knowledge gap has slowed our industry’s ability to unlock the full potential of addressable TV advertising,” says Tim Myers, the executive director of Go Addressable.

Evan Shapīro adds that many brands simply do not know what makes quality data or advertising work well. He notes that this program is designed to “bridge that knowledge gap.”

Why This Course Matters

According to Nielsen data from January 2026, many people watch addressable TV. However, marketers still need to build confidence in how to use it. They need help with tracking, measuring, and targeting ads. This new training offers a clear path to learn these skills. It takes away the mystery and gives real tools for the modern TV landscape.

What You Will Learn

The new program has three main levels. These include Essentials, Master, and Pro. Every level has two modules to help you build real skills. The classes are hosted on Substack. Students get video lectures, written guides, and helpful quizzes. When you finish, you earn a completion certificate.

The classes cover eight main topics. You will learn about the benefits for brands, how to plan media, and how to measure success.

Start with Free Classes

The first level is called Essentials. It launched in March and is completely free for everyone. Evan Shapīro leads this level. It features a great introduction to TV advertising with guest Mattew Van Houten. Another module explains why identity matters, featuring Larry Allen.

You can sign up easily online. Details and pricing for the next levels will come out in the coming months.
